      IRVING -- Funeral arrangements for Joseph F. Slavik, 45, of 3702 Chimes, an electrical engineer for Texas instruments, were pending Monday with the Colonial Funeral Home.

       

      Slavik, a native of new Yorik, died Sunday in Grapevine.

       

      He was a retired Air Force sergeant with 25 years service and had been an Irving resident since May.

       

      A former resident of Rome, N.Y., Slavik was a member of the Church of Christ.

       

      Survivors, Wife; three daughters, Miss Cynthia Slavik, Miss Karen Slavik and Miss Angela Slavik, of Irving; three sons, Robert Slavik and John Slavik of Irving and James J. Slavik serving the Navy in the China Seas, and a brother, Albert Slavik of Long Island, N.Y.
