      Henry F. "Jelly" Sefcik, age 86, of Electra, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, May 2, 2010, in a Wichita Falls, Texas hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Electra with Paul Winegeart, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Electra Memorial Park, under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday evening, May 3, 2010.

       

      Mr. Sefcik was born October 19, 1923 in Wilbarger County, Texas to Charlie and Ola Lee Johnson Sefcik. He was a lifelong resident of the Electra area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in the South Pacific on the U.S.S. Petrof Bay. He was a lifetime member of the Electra Veterans of Foreign Wars and had served in numerous offices. He and Billie Jo Shivers were married December 11, 1954 in Henrietta, Texas. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2009. He had been employed by National Tank Co. / C.E. Natco for more than twenty-five years until his retirement in 1979. He had also been a farmer throughout his life. He had a very giving personality and was a member of the First Baptist Church where he volunteered in many positions including Sunday School Teacher and church bus driver. He had delivered Meals on Wheels for many years and had donated over thirteen gallons of blood to the American Red Cross.

       

      Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Sawyer, and husband Tim, of Electra, and Linda Oldham, and husband Ray Ray, of Lockett, Texas; one brother, Louis Sefcik of Iowa Park; three grandchildren, Tina Green, and husband Anthony, of Electra, R.D. Sawyer, and wife Candice, of Wichita Falls, and Henri Jones, and her husband Jeremy, of Electra; and seven great-grandchildren, Tre', Andruw, Natalie, Druw, Emma, Javen, and JoHannah.

       

      He was preceded in death six brothers and three sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Barker, George Bushfield, Wesley Masonhall, Bob Reck, Larry Reck, and Ray Sefcik, Jr. The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Electra, P.O. Box 466, Electra, Texas 76360.
