      Funeral services for Frank J. Slampa, 63, of 607 Brooks, who retired in 1971 after 45 years as a self-employed mechanic, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Southland Funeral Chapel in Grand Prairie.  Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, Cooke County.

       

      He died Sunday in a Taylor, Williamson County, hospital.

       

      Born in Granger, Williamson County, Slampa had lived in Dallas 24 years.

       

      He is survived by hs wife, Ethel, three daughters, two brothers, three sisters, 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

       

      Survivors are wife Ethel; daughters Betty Jo Eschete, St. Francisville, Louisiana, Mrs. Frankie Wheeler, St. Francisville, Mrs. Ruth Spindle, Valley View, Texas; brothers, Joe, Midlothian, Jerry, Beaumont, Texas; sister, Mary Janosek, Dallas, Frances Skrhak, Taylor, Texas, Rose Hackworth, Dallas; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
