      Frances Elizabeth "Bess" Sebesta, 101, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, August 13, at St John's Espicopal Church in Marlin.

      Bess Sebesta was born in Marlin, Texas June 14,1910 to H.B. Stallworth and Elizabeth Read (Foster) Stallworth. She married Albert L."Dutch" Sebesta, July 6, 1934 in Marlin.

      She attended Baylor University and taught school in Reagan, Texas beginning in 1932. She and Dutch lived in Carrizo Springs, Texas from 1934 until Dutch entered WWII in 1943. At the end of the war they returned to Marlin where Bess taught in the Marlin Public School until 1976.

      Bess was an inspirational Christian and was a member of the St John's Episcopal Church in Marlin. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. In 2001, Bess moved to the Carriage Inn in Bryan to be near her daughters and her beloved Texas A&M. She attended many activities there and had already purchased season tickets for both football and basketball for the 2011 season.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. "Dutch" Sebesta; her parents; two brothers, Harry and Thomas Willett; and a grandson, Brad Jackson.

      Bess is survived by her three daughters, Betty Robinson of Ingleside, Texas, Nancy Waldie and her husband, Alan, of Bryan and Bonny Boykin and her husband, George, of Bryan; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Survivors also include Pat Taylor, Steve Jackson and wife, Ann, Julie McCalpin, Lisa Bush and husband, Tim, Stephen Boykin and Jennifer Larkin and husband Jamie.

      Burial arrangements are in the care of Adams Funeral Home, 139 Coleman St., Marlin, TX 76661
