obit: Edmund P. Sekula
Edmund P. Sekula, age 64, of the Three Oaks Community, passed away June 11, 2011.
He was born to the late Edmund H. Sekula and Anna Gawlik Sekula on December 5, 1946 in San Antonio. He was a Radio Technician for the City of San Antonio for the past 36 years. He was also a farmer and rancher and served in the United States Army. Mr. Sekula graduated from Poth High School, earned an Associate’s Degree from San Antonio College, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughter Emily Wood and her husband Gregory of Houston, his brothers Elvan Sekula and his wife Carolyn of Tower Lake and Alan A. Sekula and his wife Deborah of Falls City, and his sister Debra Frazier and her husband Richard of Castroville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Sekula.
Visitation began at 5 PM, Friday, June 17, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City. A Rosary was recited at 7 PM, Friday, June 17, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City. A Mass was celebrated at 11 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City. Fr. John Collet officiated. Interment was at the Falls City Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were: Alan Sekula, Alan Sekula Jr., Michael Sekula,
Elvan Sekula, Christopher Sekula, and Juan Martinez. Services entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Karnes City, 800-780-3334.
