Diane Crume Sulak, age 58, of Temple died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her residence. Services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, March 1, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Pastor Tad Smith officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 2, at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield.
Mrs. Sulak was born on August 11, 1953 in Littlefield to John Edward and Marieta Parker Crume. She graduated from Bula High School in 1971. She attended West Texas State University in Canyon and received her Masters Degree in Education from UMHB in Belton. She had been a resident of Temple since 1979. She married Thomas E. Sulak on April 6, 1985 in Temple. She was a Language and Learning Therapist at Travis Middle School and Scott Elementary in Temple. She was a member of Antioch Community Church in Belton.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Edward Crume on December 24, 1990 and her mother, Marieta Crume on March 14, 1997. Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Sulak of Temple, her son, Jonathan Edward Sulak of Temple and one sister, Donna Crume Smith and husband, Dan P. Smith of Midlothian. Also surviving are four nieces, Shelby Marie Lippold and husband, Captain Kyle Lippold of Fort Irwin, California, Shelby and Shannon Sulak of Seaton and Alec Sulak of Grapevine and one nephew, Sterling Sulak of Grapevine, one aunt, Lilly Hazard of San Antonio, two brothers-in-law, Steven Sulak and wife, Brenda of Grapevine, Kenny Sulak and wife, Irene of Seaton and her mother-in-law, Alice Sulak of Seaton.
