Alice Ann Stanka went merrily on her way to the Lord on the 20th of November 2008 with her family by her side.

Alice was born April 9, 1916 and raised in a Polish community in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the daughter of Alexander and Ida Dombroski. She married in 1946 to Oral H.
Stanka. As a Navy family they lived in the northeast until being transferred to Corpus Christi in 1953. They spent the rest of their lives
in Corpus Christi, raising five children.

Alice loved to play bridge, volunteering at the Spohn Hospital Auxiliary and sewing
mementos for her children and grandchildren. She probably loved dancing most of all.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Oral Henry Stanka, her sisters Jo Porembski and Vera Dombroski and her beloved grandson Randolph Cody Coleman.

Alice leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Dawn (Charles) Allen Corpus Christi, Tx; Dale (Jean) Stanka Austin, Tx; Dana (Randy) Coleman Columbus, Montana; Dene (Terry) Miller Corpus Christi, Tx and Denis Stanka Corpus Christi, Tx. Also her siblings, Jean Rudzinski Boise, Id; Phyllis Miaorana, Salt Lake City,UT; Dorothy Gwatkin, Girad, OH; Chester Dombroski Dallas, Tx; Robert (Dorothy) Dombroski Youngstown, OH and 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many many more.

To the nurses, and caretakers, our utmost admiration and appreciation for the compassion
and care you all provided her. Thank you Janet, Roxann, Bridgette, Patsy, Nina and Lesa.

Pallbearers are Daryl Allen, Chad Allen, Sean Miller, Will Stanka, John Koerth, Andrew Pearce, and Sam Stanka.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
