Alfred Wesley "Ski" Laznovsky (1930 - 2012)
- BROWNSVILLE - Alfred Wesley "Ski" Laznovsky passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012.
Service: Ski's and Joan's lives were honored with a memorial service at sea near South Padre Island on Saturday, Aug. 18. Arrangements were handled by Thomae Garza Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to theAmerican Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
Ski was born in Ennis on March 20, 1930. After living in the Fort Worth area for many years, he had lived for the past 19 years on South Padre Island in Laguna Vista and Brownsville. He was 82.
Ski was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Zoe Burke Laznovsky, on March 12, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Wesley F. and Marie K. Laznovsky of Ennis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy T. and Stella M. Burke of Austin; and one great-granddaughter, Piper Noelle of Saginaw.
Survivors: Children, Linda Henderson (T.J.) of Denver, Carol Hinck (Don) of Hawthorn Woods, Ill., Mark Laznovsky (Beverley) of Fort Worth and Gregory Laznovsky (Maria) of Los Fresnos; 10 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and many friends.
