She was graduate of Lanier High School and attended Southwest University. She had spent several years in Liberty Hill, Texas working with her brother at Lambo's restaurant. She has lived her last five years in Dallas. Laura loved playing the piano as much as she enjoyed her sports. She always had a smile and ready to sit and chat whether she knew you or not. She loved people and was more concerned about taking care of her friends and family before herself. She was a member of KJT and KJZT in Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents Laddie and Helen Matula, Sr., her sister Lorraine and paternal grandparents Adolph and Anna Matula.
Laura will be greatly missed by her sister Linda and Randy Gaas, of Caldwell, her brothers Laddie and Suzanne Matula, Jr., of Liberty Hill, Larry and Jill Matula, of San Antonio, Louis Matula and companion June Campbell, of Austin. There were six nieces and three nephews as well as numerous Uncles, Aunts, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Salvation Army or charity of choice. .
