      Anna Marie Macha went to be with our Lord March 1, 2011.

       

      She was born September 20, 1920 to August and Barbara Fuchs in San Antonio. She was a graduate of Brackenridge High School. On August 6, 1941, she married Charles Macha. Anna was a long time member of Hermann Sons Fraternal Organization and retiree, she was active in square dancing and round dancing. She was a member of Grand Squares and Rhythm Rounds. Anna was also a member of St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.

       

      She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

       

      Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, Charles Macha; daughter, Janet Abell and husband Phil of San Antonio; grandchildren, Casey Abell and wife Staci of Houston, Trevor Abell and wife Lauri Ann of El Paso, and Drew Abell and wife Marianne of Monterey, California; great grandchildren, Lucas, Evan, Wesley and Juliette Abell; eleven nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

      The family will receive visitors Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home. A Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, March 7, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30AM. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.

       

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morningside Ministries.
