      Ann Langer, 85, passed away at her home on Monday, May 14, 2012.

       

      Ann was born in Ennis, Texas, to Joe and Anna (Zabojnik) Mikel on October 18, 1926. She grew up around the Ennis area and attended schools in the rural school systems. She received her LVN from Navarro College. She married Emil H. Langer and they made their home in Ennis and the Crisp Community.

       

      She worked for the Ennis Care Center and for the IOOF Nursing Home as an LVN for many years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the SPJST. She loved cooking for her family and others, gardening, and loved to be around her family especially all of her grandchildren.

       

      She is survived by two sons: Emil Langer and his wife, Judy and Richard Langer and his wife, Emily all of Ennis; two daughters: Annette and her husband, Greg French and Nancy and her husband, Leslie Mach all of Ennis; grandchildren: Jennifer and her husband, Todd Krueger, Matthew Langer and his wife, JoAnna, Stephanie Langer, Ricky Langer and his wife, Aron, Kevin Langer, Jason French and his wife, Heather, Jeremy French and his wife, Ashlee, Rachel French, Stacy Mach and Ryan Mach; great-grandchildren: Dillon Lucas, Drew Lucas, Aubrey Roberts, Charlotte Langer, Peyton French and Cooper French and one sister, Betty Trlica of Ennis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Langer on March 30, 1977, infant daughter, Elizabeth, seven brothers and four sisters.

       

      Visitation will be on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
