      Ann Michalka, 91, of Cameron died Friday in a Cameron nursing center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 7 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Monica’s Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

      Ms. Michalka was born August 18, 1919 in Milam County, to Joseph and Mary (Kunz) Michalka. She worked for the War Department in Washington, DC in 1942 and 1943. She then went to work for the Veterans Administration in Waco for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Michalka and by three sisters, Margaret Tipton, Gertrude Sysak and Theresa McAtee.

      Survivors include:

      3 brothers George Michalka of Midlothian
      Albert Michalka of Cameron
      Joseph Michalka of Lubbock
      1 sister Veronica Touchstone of Taylor

      Memorials may be made to the St. Monica’s Catholic Cemetery
