Glenn W. Kveton, 47, of Eagle Lake, Commissioner of Colorado County Precinct 4, was found dead about noon Tuesday on a small island off the Rockport shore.

The body was found by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Barnett who had gone searching for him after he had left camp the night before to go to the island floundering, and had failed to return.  The three were staying at a camp owned by Mr. Kveton.

Mr. Kveton, a victim of heart disease, had fallen across the edge of his boat in such a manner that his head and upper body were dangling inside the vessel and his feet and legs were in shallow water, where the boat was anchored.

Funeral services were to be held at 10:30 Thursday morning at the Mill-Bauer Funeral Home in Eagle Lake with burial in the Masonic Cemetery there.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ellie Kveton, a daughter, Marcia Lee; a step-son, Leon Simank; and a brother, E. M. Kveton.  All live in Eagle Lake.
