      Dorothy Kuchar, 87, of Danbury passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 in Angleton.
      Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bonnie Cowing officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.
      Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Palms.
      Dorothy was born October 9, 1924 in Danbury, Texas to Tunis & Myrtle Hoffpauir Freeland, the first of six children.
       
      She was a member of the Grandmother’s Club & Brazoria County Home Extension Club. As a tireless volunteer, Dorothy served as 4-H Leader, Cub Scout Leader and volunteered at the Brazoria County Fair. She was a prize winning cook and was famous for her chicken spaghetti.
       
      She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Kuchar in 2005 and son Gary Kuchar in 2010, son-in-law, Gerry Griffin, brothers, James Freeland & T.B. Freeland, Jr. and sister, Margaret Penry.
      Survivors include her son, Rodney Kuchar & wife Pat of Danbury daughter, Donna Griffin of Houston, sister, Mrytle Mae Freeland of Danbury and brother, John R. Freeland and wife Patti of Riverside.
      Grandchildren: Rody Kuchar & wife Donna, Tracy Hobdy & husband Miles, Tara Belote and husband Donnie & Michelle Miller & husband Wayne.
      Great Grandchildren: Savannah Kuchar, Jerri, Jacqueline, Wendy & Everett Hobdy, Bryan Belote, Griffin, Reynold & Anderson Miller.
       
      Pallbearers will be Donnie Belote, Bryan Belote, Donald Meaux, Miles Hobdy, Rody Kuchar, Wayne Miller, Mike Penry & Richard Penry.
      Honorary pallbearers will be Griffin Miller, Reynold Miller & Everett Hobdy
