      Funeral services for Leo Anton Hoelscher, 75, an almost lifelong resident of New Bielau community, were held Thursday, Dec. 27, from Hubbard Funeral Home and St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
       
      Rev. Adolph Janda officiated.
       
      Mr. Hoelscher died late in the evening of Christmas Day at Columbus Convalescent Home, where he had lived since Nov. 19.  Ill two years with arteriosclerosis, he had been admitted to Youens Memorial Hospital Oct. 28.
       
      He was born Jan. 18, 1898, at Oak Grove, the son of Henry and Wilhelmina Untermeyer Hoelscher.  The family moved to New Bielau when he was a young boy.  He married Miss Christina Ulrich at St. Michael's Church on Oct. 28, 1924.
       
      His wife survives, along with four sons, Allen and Leo H. of Weimar, Owen and Harris of Houston; eight grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Hoelscher of Weimar; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank J. (Albertina) Pavlik and Miss Frances Hoelscher of Yoakum.
       
      Pallbearers were Leroy Hoelscher, Al Kasparek, Frank H. Anders, Joe J. Adamcik, Herbert Pavlik, and Byron Blaschke.
