      Anna “Anita” Martha Bartos, 72, of El Campo, passed away on April 23, 2012 in a Houston hospital.
       
      She was born July 2, 1939 in Corpus Christi to Joe A. and Annie Foitek Kocurek. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in 1957. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 1374, KJZT, SPJST Lodge 40 and St. Philip’s Catholic Church.  She helped her husband Alvin with farming and loved gardening and the outdoors.

      She is survived by her daughter, Martha Lynn Bartos of El Campo; son, Patrick Bartos of El Campo; brother, Joe Kocurek of Pierce; sisters, Rita Zdansky and husband Anton of Lyford and Vlasta Bartos of Pierce and numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Bartos and daughter, Veronica Bartos Uptagrafft.

      Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at Triska Funeral Home with a Parish and CDA rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 27 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.


      Pallbearers are Raymond Palt, Eric Schoenfield, Donald Philipp, Thomas Zdansky, Phillip Kocurek and Joseph Kocurek. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. A.C. Kaltwasser, John Wilbeck, David Kocurek, Daniel Kocurek and A.J. Kresta.

      Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip’s Catholic Church or Incarnate Word Academy, 2920 S. Alameda, Corpus Christi, Tx. 78404.
