      Bernard "Ben" Dobias
      July 11, 1935 - April 15, 2012

Bernard "Ben" Dobias of Pflugerville, Texas passed away on April 15th after a
courageous battle with cancer and is now resting in heaven with Our Lord Jesus Christ.
He was born in the small town of Granger, Texas the son of Jeff and Angeline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Adolph and infant sister Germaine.

He is survived by his wife Lillian and six children and their spouses, Kenneth and Karen Dobias, Anthony and Lorie Dobias, Deanna (Dobias) and Richard Krawczyk, Sid and Lisa Dobias, Pam Dobias, Randy and Lisa Dobias, brothers Dominic and Frank Dobias and 18 grandchildren.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandchildren Ronnie White, Nicole, Paul, and Natalie Dobias, Darrell and Pina Dobias, Matthew, Eric, and Macey Dobias, Bailey, Sidney, and Kirbey Krawczyk, Morgan, Kasey, and Colton Dobias, Jessica Dobias, and Mallory and Addison Dobias.
Ben devoted 34 years of his life working for the Texas Department of Transportation where he experienced the ever growing Austin metropolitan area and its evolving highway system.
Ben was a great advocate of children and higher education, which he instilled in all six of his children. In his retirement years, he held a deep passion for the great outdoors and spent much of his leisure time on his farm tending to his cattle, tilling his garden and camping with his children and grandchildren.

Nothing was more important to him than Jesus Christ his savior, his wife Lillian of 54 years, his children, his grandchildren and his farm. Finally, his love for children drove him to be a tireless crusader for the unborn often volunteering for projects like The Gabriel Project.
Memorials in his name may be made to: Project Gabriel, 6225 Highway 290 East, Austin, Texas 78723
