      Mary Agnes Havlak, 89, of San Angelo passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, in Meadow Creek Nursing Center. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall, Texas, with Msgr. Larry Droll as celebrant.
       
      Mary was born Dec. 11, 1913, in Rowena, Texas, to her parents, Otto and Francis Strakos Bubenik. She grew up in the Veribest community. She married Frank J. Havlak on Jan. 14, 1936, and they had 63 beautiful years together. They farmed and lived in the Wall Community most of their lives.
       
      Some of Mary's favorite things to do were sewing, quilting, making kolaches, raising flowers and enjoying her grandchildren. She volunteered for many years at St. John's Hospital and received numerous awards for her work there. Mary was also a member of St. Helen's Altar Society.
       
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; two brothers, John and Eddie Bubenik; and one sister, Ella Braden.
       
      She is survived by her loving family, son and daughter-in-law, B.J. and Lillie Havlak of St. Lawrence; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Billy Schwartz of Wall; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Leonard Jansa of Wall; grandchildren, Ron and Brenda Cofer of Saginaw, Amanda Havlak of St. Lawrence, Mistie Havlak of Cameron, Kristie Havlak of Granbury, Tisha Schwartz of Dallas, Jill Miller of San Saba, Neil Schwartz of Miles; Bridget and John Mullin of Humble, Jason Schwartz of Wall, Todd and Kim Schwartz of Wall, Robyn and Andy Gallant of Caddo Mills, Ryan and Springer Jansa of San Angelo, Clay Jansa of Wall and Cara Jansa of Wall; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Hunter Cofer, Daeley Havlak, Austin and Laken Miller, Dylan and Cody Schwartz, Davis Schwartz and Jake and Reese Gallant; two brothers, Albert Bubenik of San Angelo and Julius Bubenik of Houston; one sister, Lillie Pechacek of Corpus Christi; numerous nieces and nephews; and one very special friend, Irene Malish.
       
      The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Meadow Creek Nursing Center. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
