      Lillie Sofia (Richter) Adamek , age 91 years, died on July 10, 2010. Born on January 24, 1919, in Dewitt County, Texas, she was the youngest of five children of German/Czech parents, Joseph and Frances (Loika) Richter.
       
      She was pre-deceased by her husband of 66 years, Charley A. Adamek. Together they established the Kerrville Saddle Shop in 1947, which they operated for 31 years. Lillie was always wife and mother first.
       
      She was an active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, serving in numerous leadership capacities in the Women of Notre Dame and the parent's organization of Notre Dame School. She was an active member of the American Red Cross Auxiliary.

      Lillie is survived by a daughter, Mary Elaine Jones and her husband, T. David Jones of Kerrville and their children Catherine Jones of Dallas and Matthew M. Jones of Keller, Texas; son, Charles J. Adamek and spouse Mary Ann of Atascosa, Texas, and their sons and spouses Charles J. and Erinn of Hico and their children, Gianna and Ainsley; Michael and Kristen of Fair Oaks Ranch and their children, Anson and Gillian; and son, James R. Adamek and spouse Debra of Tucson, Arizona, and their daughter Dominque. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

      The rosary recitation will be Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 6 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Deacon Charles Domingues.

      Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 10 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Monsignor Albert Hubertus as celebrant. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

      The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care provided by Vista Care Hospice and in particular the staff at The Haven who helped her to enjoy her last year.

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Notre Dame School to support tuition scholarships for needy children.
