      HUNTSVILLE — William H. Adamick, 91, of New Waverly, Texas passed on March 9, 2011. One of twelve children, he was born on January 8, 1920 to Bill and Annie Adamick

      His entire life was spent in New Waverly where he met and married Martha Buckner, his wife of sixty-five years, and  where they raised five daughters. 

      He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sisters. 

      William was a faithful lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

      William was a very hard working, kind and generous family man who was adored by his wife and daughters.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII.

      Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Martha; daughters Jeanette Busa, Lottie Dennis and husband John, Glenda Paulsel and husband Tim, Rosemary Bartee and husband Wayne and Marzie McGough; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

      The family would like to give a very special thank you to Suzanne and Beulah who took such wonderful care of William.  These two ladies are truly a blessing from God.

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Vincent De Paul Food Bank, 101 Elmore, New Waverly, Texas 77358.

      Services for Mr. Adamick will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011, 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Waverly, Texas with Rev. Daokim Nguyen officiating.  Interment will follow at Elmina Cemetery in New Waverly.  Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011, 6:00-7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.  Mr. Adamick will lie in state on Friday from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home.
