obit: Evan Cernoch
- A Funeral Mass for Evan Cernoch, 86, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10:30 A. M., Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Father Dan Warden officiating. Interment will follow in West Gethsemane Garden in Rosenberg.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M., with a Rosary being recited at 7:30 P. M., Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Evan was born September 15, 1920 in Ammannsville, Texas to Vince Cernoch and Jenaefa Kredmer Cernoch. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Knights of Colmbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars # 3903. He was a self employed mechanic and truck driver with Ivans Garage and Ivans Trucking. He passed away April 22, 2007 in Houston, Texas.
Evan is preceded in death by his parents, Vince and Jenaefa Cernoch; and his sisters, Mathilda, Viola and Annie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Knesek Cernoch; Sons: Bobby Evan Cernoch and wife, Debbie Cernoch, Larry Wayne Cernoch, Ricky Lee Cernoch and wife, Nan Goode Cernoch; Grandchildren: Richard Cernoch, William Cernoch and wife, Crystal, Becky Cernoch, Nikki Cernoch, Melissa Dyches and husband, Walter, LeAnn Cernoch; Great Grandchildren: Randa Cernoch, Riann Cernoch, Riley Cernoch, Ryan Cernoch, Abby White; along with other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will include Jim Olive, Ernest Hravocy, Alton Kutac, Bill Knesek, Dennis Hudec and Cody Cook.
