      Clara Millie Faifer Spann, 93, of Port Lavaca passed away Feb. 25, 2001.

      She was born May 24, 1908 in Buckholts to the late John Faifer and the late
      Matilda Marek Faifer. She was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, a member
      of AARP, the DaCosta Dance Club and was a Senior Citizens Domino player. She
      was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Wilmer Spann; an
      infant son, James Spann; sisters, Bessie Raines and Ruth Faifer and brothers,
      Robert Faifer and Johnnie Faifer.

      Spann is survived by daughters Darlette Koliba of Port Lavaca, Betty Koliba
      of Port Lavaca and Phil Drexler of Port Lavaca; 11 grandchildren, 12 great
      grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

      Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Richardson
      Funeral Home Chapel.

      Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 1 at the First
      Presbyterian Church with Rev. O’Quin Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in
      Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun County Senior Citizens
      Center or to Port Lavaca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund.

      Arrangements are under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
