      Deceased Name: MILDRED BERNICE DLUHOS HEINTCHEL

      Mildred Bernice Dluhos Heintschel, 69, lost her battle to multiple myeloma on Friday, August 16, 2002.

      She was born in Blessing, Tx. on February 10, 1933 to William and Clara Dluhos. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

      She was preceded in death by husband, Johnny Joe Heintschel, Jr., brother, Eugene Dluhos and her parents.

      She is survived by daughters, Marie Kelly and husband Pat, Elaine Schaider and husband Paul, sons, Douglas Heintschel and wife Katharine, Joel Heintschel and wife Louree, sisters, Virginia Teller and Shirley Dluhos, brother, Bill Dluhos and grandchildren, Michelle and Brain Kelly, Ian and Levi Schaider, Evan and Olivia Heintschle, Joseph Heintschel and Casey Jones.

      Mildred was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was involved in St. Mary's Altar Society, St. Mary's Quilters and Rosary-markers and DCCW. She graduated from Wharton High School and attended Wharton County Junior College. She married Johnny Joe Heintschel, Jr. in 1958. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, gardening, traveling, fishing and casino trips. She enjoyed doing for others and we will miss her dearly. The family would like to thank MD Anderson Cancer Center for the wonderful care she received during the treatment of her disease.

      In lieu of usual remembrances, donations can be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 297153, Houston, TX 77297.

      A Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2002 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

      A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. today, August 20, 2002 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tx.
