      Phillip Donald Fiala, age 28, of El Campo, died on September 13, 2009.  He was born on June 2, 1981 in Wharton.  He was employed by Stewart Petroleum as a swab operator and was a 1999 graduate of Louise High School and a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.
       
      He was a member of SPJST Lodge 40, El Campo-Hillje.  He was survived by parents Donald and Bernadette Hubenak Fiala of New Taiton; wife Roxanne Watson Fiala of El Campo; stepdaughter Mercedez Watson of El Campo; stepsons Dean and Nash Watson of El Campo; brothers Jason Fiala of Wharton and Matthew Fiala of New Taiton; maternal grandparents Jimmie and Irene Hubenak of Hillje; and paternal grandparents Edwin and Dorothy Fiala of Ganado.
       
      Visitation was Thursday, September 17 from 2 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., with rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Friday at Triska Funeral Home.  Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 19 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.  Interment was at St. John's Cemetery in New Taiton.
       
      Pallbearers were Victor Buzdek, James Hubenak, Chad Kulcak, Joey Orsak, Dusty Sliva, and Jonathan Vacek.  Honorary pallbearers were Alan Fiala, Jimmy Girndt, Bobby Brazak, and Tommy Vacek.
