ENNIS -- Ennis car dealer Frank A. Hubacek died in a Corsicana hospital of injuries received Tuesday afternoon in a two-car accident on Business Route Hwy 75 in South Ennis when he collided with an oncoming car while attempting to avoid a collision with a car ahead of him in his lane, investigating Ennis Police reported.

Hubacek was transferred from the Ennis Hospital to Corsicana's Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries at 3:30 p.m. and died in the emergency room at 4 p.m.

Investigating Officer Floyd Garrett said according to a witness driving south behind Hubacek, a vehicle ahead of the car dealer either stopped or slowed abruptly in the traffic lane, and Hubacek swerved his 1971 Mazda sharply left into the path of Mrs. Tindle, driving north.  Hubacek sustained chest area internal injuries and multiple lacerations.

His small imported car was demolished...

Funeral services for the accident victim are slated for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Keever Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Down, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial is tentatively planned in the Myrtle Cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. June Hubacek; two daughters, Ruth Ann and Jenta Hubacek; one son, Frankline Ross Hubacek, all of Ennis; and other relatives.
