ENNIS -- Ennis car dealer Frank A. Hubacek died in
a Corsicana hospital of injuries received Tuesday afternoon in a two-car
accident on Business Route Hwy 75 in South Ennis when he collided with an
oncoming car while attempting to avoid a collision with a car ahead of him in
his lane, investigating Ennis Police reported.
Hubacek was transferred from the Ennis Hospital to
Corsicana's Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries at 3:30 p.m. and died in
the emergency room at 4 p.m.
Investigating Officer Floyd Garrett said according
to a witness driving south behind Hubacek, a vehicle ahead of the car dealer
either stopped or slowed abruptly in the traffic lane, and Hubacek swerved his
1971 Mazda sharply left into the path of Mrs. Tindle, driving north.

Funeral services for the accident victim are slated
for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Keever Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Down,
pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial is
tentatively planned in the Myrtle Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. June Hubacek; two
daughters, Ruth Ann and Jenta Hubacek; one son, Frankline Ross Hubacek, all of
Ennis; and other relatives.
