      Deceased Name: George Hruby

      George Hruby, born August 18, 1928, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2007, at the age of 78. George left the Minnesota farmlands at the age of 17 to pursue his dream of obtaining a college education and exploring the world that he had only read about, but longed to see. George received his Bachelor's Degree from Trinity University and went on to obtain his Master's Degree from St. Mary's University. George loved the warm Texas sun and knew he had "come home." In later years, he began to research his Czech Heritage; traveling to the Czech Republic numerous times to meet his cousins still living there. He loved his Heavenly Father and trusted in His guidance through life's journey. And now, he stands in His very presence.
       
      He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry E. and Marie Philippi Hruby; 1st wife, Mary Hruby; 2nd wife, Patricia Verna lee Rogers Hruby; infant son, Jerry Henry Hruby; and brother, Jerry Hruby. George is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Hruby; seven children, George Harold Hruby, Laura Jeanne Holson, Susan Kay Sinclair, Shirley Kay Cooper, Trudie Beth Wendt, John Price Griffin, and Jerry Henry Hruby; ten grandchildren, George Quentin Hruby, Mandie Marie Hruby Taylor, Sarah Patricia and Katie Annette Sinclair, Matthew Brandon and Lauren Nicole Holson, Michael Wayne Cooper, Kelsey Anne, Joshua Dakota and Allison Elizabeth Wendt; brother, Stanley Hruby of Goodridge, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Betty Hruby of Cavalier North Dakota; cousins residing in the Czech Republic, Josef and Miroslava Pavlickovi of Prague, Jan and Ludmile Filipiovi of Plzen, and Vladimir and Zdislva Filipiovi of Plzen.
       
      ROSARY WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21, 2007, 7:00 P.M. PORTER LORING MORTUARY NORTH MASS THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 2007, 2:00 P.M. ST. LUKE'S CATHOLIC CHURCH 4603 MANITOU DR. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery
