      GALVESTON -- Edmond Albert Jansky Jr., 47, passed away Saturday, July 25, 1998, at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas.
       
      Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 1998, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Father Matt Holahan officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.
       
      Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 1998, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m.  A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
       
      Mr. Jansky was born September 10, 1950, in Galveston.  he was a lifelong resident of Galveston and a member of the Catholic Faith.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.  He was employed by J & J Telecommunications.
       
      He is preceded in death by his father, Edmond "Skeet" Albert Jansky Sr.
       
      He is survived by his mother Nancy Jansky, of Galveston; sister, Betty Jo Jansky Kershaw and husband Mike of Corpus Christi; two nephews, Major Mike Kershaw and Kenny Kershaw; uncle, Eddie Janek; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
       
      Pallbearers will be Craig Janek, Dr. Kyle Janek, Major Mike Kershaw, Kenny Kershaw, Billy Smith, and Gary Hykel.  Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Janek Jr.
       
      Memorials may be sent to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
