      HALLETTSVILLE -- Mike V. Janak, 62, of Hallettsville died unexpectedly Saturday evening at his home.
       
      Mr. Janak was born Sept. 26, 1910 in Lavaca County.  He was married to the former Lillie Wanger Oct. 14, 1936, who survives.
       
      A farmer, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the KJT society, and the Knights of Columbus.
       
      Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Kubena Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry Psencik officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
       
      Survivors include his wife; six sons, Ludwig, Julius and Patrick Janak, all of Victoria; Norbert, and Edmund of Houston, and Benjamin of Hallettsville; four daughters, Mrs. Laurence Veit of Shiner, and Mrs. Raymond Kelnar, Mrs. Nick Merran, and Miss Rosemary Janak, all of Houston; three brothers, F. M. and Guntham, both of Hallettsville, and Rudolph of Shiner; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Fikac of Shiner, Mrs. Joe Pesek of Jourdanton and Mrs. William Barton of Hallettsville.
