Dallas Morning News, The (TX) - April 26, 2002

      Deceased Name: Ann Mignon Kallus

Ann Mignon Kallus of Rowlett was known for her cooking.

"She was a terrific," said her daughter, Sallyann Anderson of Keller. Mrs. Kallus' specialties were chicken and dumplings and apricot fried pies, but she loved to cook many other things too, her daughter said.

Mrs. Kallus, 85, died Monday at Parkwood Nursing Center in Bedford of complications following a stroke. She moved to the nursing center from Rowlett 21/2 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall, the Shores Country Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Grocer's Association.

Services were held Thursday at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett.

Mrs. Kallus enjoyed oil painting, golfing and gardening, Ms. Anderson said.

Other survivors include her husband, Fred "Buddy" Kallus of Bedford; two granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters.
