      BALLINGER, July 2.-- Funeral for Mrs. Mary Kabela Baron, widow of the late Paul J. Baron, founder of Rowena, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday from the Newby-Davis Chapel with Dr. O.B. Wood, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of San Angelo, officiating.
       
      Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
       
      Mrs. Baron died Sunday at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo.  She was 77.
       
      She had been ill for two years.  She was born Oct. 5, 1873, in Ellinger, Fayette County.  She was married to Mr. Baron in 1892 in Fayette and they came to Runnels County in the early 1890's.
       
      They settled in the present Rowena community and Mrs. Baron had lived there since that time.
       
      Surviving are four sons, B.B. Lubbock, E.V. of New Deal, V. P. of McCamey, and P.J. of Seagraves; five daughters, Mrs. W.A. Kopecky, Mertzon, Mrs. F. J. Pieper, Rowena; Mrs. E. F. Matejowsky, McCamey, Mrs. W. A. Halamicek, San Angelo, and Mrs. H. J. Shumate of Odessa; two brothers, E. L. Kabela, Mexico City, and Henry Kabela of Rowena; 20 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
