EDNA -- Louis J. "Skipper" Kozelsky Sr.;, 51,
business manager of the Edna Independent School District since 1973 and a former
Edna businessman, died Saturday in a Victoria hospital.
Mr. Kozelsky was the owner of Kozelsky Motor Co. in
Edna from 1952 until 1973 and prior to that time owned a grocery store in Ganado
for a year and a half and then Kozelsky Motor Co. in Yoakum. He was born
July 25, 1925, in Hungerford, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1946
and then taught school in East Bernard.
He was a past grand knight of the Edna Knights of
Columbus in 1956 and 1957, was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a
former member of the Edna Lions Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at
St. Agnes with Bishop Hugo Gerberman, pastor, and the Rev. Joe Webb, pastor of
First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens of

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Winnie Horang
Kozelsky; four daughters, Misses Sue and Stella Kozelsky of Edna, Miss Libby Ann
Kozelsky of San Antonio and Mrs. Pat Begue of Houma, La.; a son, Louis Kozelsky
Jr. of Austin; his mother, Mrs. Joe Kozelsky of East Bernard, and one
