      NEDERLAND, Texas -- Mr. Paul L. Krenek passed from this life Saturday morning at the Nederland Nursing Home in Nederland, Texas while in his 76th year.
       
      Born June 5, 1917 in El Campo, Texas, Mr. Krenek had been a resident of Port Neches for three years, having previously spent his life in Hitchcock.  He retired in 1982 from the Texas highway Department after many years of service.  He was a member of Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, VFW Post 5400, and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
       
      Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Ronnie Bount of Port Neches, and Patricia and Ronnie Keleman of Valrico, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Paul P. and Renee Krenek of Hitchcock; brothers, Louis Krenek of El Campo, Ernest Krenek of Galveston and William Krenek of Galveston; sister, Frances Scribner of Wharton, Texas; grandchildren, Andy, John and Matthew Kelemen, all of Valrico, Fla.
       
      A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Our lady of lourdes Catholic Church, Reverend John C. DeForke, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
       
      Vigil services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Hayes Funeral Home.
       
      Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
