      John Paul Kubecka, 76, died 8:05 a.m. today in the VA Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
       
      Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the River-Welch Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Trinity memorial Park.
       
      Mr. Kubecka was born April 26, 1895, in Cameron, Tex., and married Gertrude Dunn Aug. 8, 1929 at San Angelo.  He was a Forsan resident, having moved to Forsan from San Angelo in 1934.  He was a retired pumper.  For a period of five years following his retirement from an oil company, he was employed as a custodian with the Forsan schools.
       
      Mr. Kubecka was a member of the carpenter's union and was a veteran of World War I.  He was a member of the Catholic church.
       
      Survivors include his wife, Gertrude, of the home; a son, Luther W. Moore, Odessa, A daughter, Mrs. Coleen Ventre, Santa Monica, Calif.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother, L. F. Kubecka, Wichita Falls; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Stewart, Friendswood, Tex.; Mrs. Frances Waters, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and Mrs. Nell Henrich, Victoria.
