LILLIAN BLOSSOM HAJEK passed away peacefully July 27, 2010.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 8, 1920 and lived most of her life in the Chicago area. Lillian and her husband, Arthur, moved to Houston after his retirement to be near their daughter, Magdalene, and her family.Lillian enjoyed cooking Czech dishes and was a prolific cookie baker to the delight of her grandchildren. She was always busy with all types of needlework and through her churches, did volunteer work for Meals On Wheels and area nursing homes. She was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan who loved baseball and counted the days until Spring Training.Lillian was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a caring friend to many.

She is preceded in death by Arthur, her husband of 65 years; and is survived by her daughter, Magdalene and her husband, Edward Kasper; her cherished grandchildren, Susan Marie Kasper; and Edward Arthur Kasper and his wife, Lawryn.

Magdalene and the family want to thank the staff at Sunset Hospice, particularly Patty and Trent for their tender and loving care and support.Lillian and Arthur will have their ashes interred together in Illinois at a date to be determined.
