obit: Ila Luedke Matocha
Funeral Mass for Ila Matocha, 73, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with the Rev. Dan Warden officiating the services.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Ila was born July 13, 1930 in New Ulm to Edward and Paula Luedke.
Jesus came to take her from her Earthly home on Feb. 11, 2004, after suffering a massive stroke.
Ila was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg and was involved with the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed playing Bingo where she would be seen every Tuesday and Saturday night until recently.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Irvin and Lester Luedke; and sister Eleanor Chaloupka.
Ila is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charlie Matocha of Rosenberg; children Charlene Vyvial and husband Rod, of Pleak; David Matocha of Richmond; Karen Sepeda and husband Louis, of Rosenberg; Annette Swallers and husband Keith, of Rosenberg; grandchildren who she cherished, Tyson Vyvial and wife Amy; Amber Vyvial; Katharina Matocha; Carissa, Kristin and Kimber Sepeda; Shanda, Keith II (Scooter) and Alaina Swallers; brother Delbert Luedke and wife Delores, of Rosenberg; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will include Darrell Chaloupka, Steven Chaloupka, Patrick Stryk, Randy Matocha, Gary Tupa, and Raymond Bacak. Honorary pallbearers will include Tyson Vyvial and Scooter Swallers.
