ALMA MATOCHAYOAKUM - Alma Matocha, age 96, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was born in Moulton on Sept. 24, 1913, to Ludwig and Wilhelmina Krause Janssen. She was a housepainter and a Lutheran.Survivors: son, Pastor Barney Matocha and wife Leah of Victoria; grandchildren, Matthew Matocha and wife Monica of Cedar Park, Scott Matocha and wife Maggie of Austin, Amanda Matocha of Victoria, Karen Howton and husband Johnny of Waco, Brenda McLain and husband Jeff of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Seth Howton, Luke Howton, Nathan McLain and Stephen McLain; sisters, Tillie Schoenfeld of Seguin and Ella Hartman of Shiner; and daughter-in-law, Genny Cody of Port Lavaca. Preceded in death by: parents; husbands, Drury T. Moore and Barney Matocha Sr., sons, Drury James Moore and Gene Ray Moore; sisters, Luckea Janssen Tenberg, Amalie Janssen Helweg, Annie Janssen Wagner, Elizabeth Janssen Blohm, Minnie Janssen Richter, Lillie Janssen Striegl and Viola Janssen McCaskill; and brother, Johnny Janssen.Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner with Pastor Clarence Hagens officiating. Burial will be at Shiner Cemetery. Pallbearers: Matt Matocha, Scott Matocha, Dr. Johnny Howton, Seth Howton, David Janssen and Martin Kocian.
