OBIT: Carmine "Dink" Starr Tvrdik
CARMINE "DINK" TVRDIKLOUISE - Carmine "Dink" Starr Tvrdik of Louise died April 30, 2010 at the age of 96.She was born March 18, 1914 in Markham to the late Thomas and Johnnie Haynes Starr. She was a homemaker and a member of the San Marcos American Legion Auxiliary.She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Hajovsky and husband Johnny of Louise, and Gloria Hobizal of Rosenberg; sons, Frank J. Tvrdik Jr. and wife Glenda of Corpus Christi and Thomas Tvrdik and wife Casandra of San Marcos; sister, Lola Lavender of Pasadena; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank J. Tvrdik Sr.; son-in-law, Willis Hobizal; granddaughter, Jacqueline Hobizal; and grandson-in-law, Bo Anderson.
Visitation will begin 2 p.m. today at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be offered 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at St. Procopius Catholic Church in Louise, followed by the funeral Mass at 3 p.m. with Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in El Campo. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Hajovsky, Carl Hobizal, Gregory Tvrdik, James Tvrdik, Randall Tvrdik and Ronald Tvrdik.
