      Dominic F. Netek, Sr. born on January 28, 1922 went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2009 at the age of 87 after his long battle with Alzheimer's.
       
      Dominic served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he was honored an American Defense Medal, European Liberation Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars, 3 Purple Hearts for bravery and wounds received liberating France and the homeland of Czechoslovakia.
       
      He was a member of KJT, SPJST, Hermann Sons, St. Margaret Mary's Men's Club and the Director of the Czech Choral Club.
       
      He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie J. Netek.
       
      He is survived by his loving children Eileen Marie Netek Heath and husband Paul, Don F. Netek Jr. and wife Claire, and Michael R. Netek and wife Debbie, grandchildren Donna Heath, Sandra Heath, Bryan Heath and wife Terri, Jack Netek and wife Honour, Jason Netek and wife Taryn, Mary Jane Codey and husband Sean, Christopher Netek, Eric Netek and Fiance Kristin Church, great grandchildren Elise Higgins, Sylvie Higgins, Caden Heath, Zane Netek, Greyson Netek, Owen Netek, Dylan Netek, and Danielle Netek, sisters Francis, Geneva, Helen, and Christine, numerous nieces, nephews.
       
      Our family would like to give a special thanks to Jane Fore and her staff at the Angelique House Special Care Unit at the Incarnate Word for all their loving care that was given during his stay.
      Service
      Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery in Jourdanton, Texas.
