      ALTA LOMA — Mrs. Ellalouise Eugenia Johnson Rezek passed from this life Monday morning, June 8, 2009, in Marlin, Texas.

      Born January 6, 1916, in Galveston, Texas, Mrs. Rezek had been a resident of Alta Loma for 88 years, was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church. She had formerly attended First Baptist Church of La Marque and First Baptist Church of Alta Loma where she taught Sunday school and had been active in the Silver Doves. She was a member of Alvin Chapter of the Eastern Star and enjoyed crocheting.

      She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years John Rezek; and is survived by her daughter Joy Beyer Marullo and husband, Frank; son John F. Rezek and wife, Ronda; grandchildren Richard Scott Beyer and wife, Amy Marie, Joy Donnell Arles and husband, Pete, John F. (Rick) Rezek, Jr.; great-grandchildren Richard Travis Beyer, Jonathan Eric Beyer, Nicholas Crane Beyer and Colby Wayne Oehlert.

      Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Brother Charlie Barganier officiating. Interment will follow at Alta Loma Cemetery.

      Casketbearers will be Richard Scott Beyer, Richard Travis Beyer, Jonathan Eric Beyer, Danny Lee Blumrick, Robert Blumrick and Daniel Blumrick. Honorary bearers will be Rick Rezek, Nicholas Beyer, Johnny Rothermel, Kenny Laird, and Colby Oehlert.

      Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.

      Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the Arcadia First Baptist Church New Bus Fund, P.O. Box 128, Santa Fe, TX 77517
