obit: Henry Julius Sablatura
- Henry Julius Sablatura, 71, of Lake Jackson went to be with the Lord December 24, 2009, at Brazosport Regional Health System after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 3, 1938, in Hungerford, Tx, to Frank and Caroline Sablatura.
He served his country during the Vietnam War stationed at Fort Polk, La. He was a machinist at Dow Chemical for 36 years and a real estate broker since 1981. He also enjoyed trading in the stock market and was an excellent provider for his family.
He enjoyed life, loved to fish and hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking and telling stories of his past.
Henrys parents and his brothers, Frank Sablatura and Ed Sablatura, precede him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Sandy Sablatura; daughters, Vicky Raymond and husband, Dean, of Richwood, Becky Parsons and husband, Kevin, of Katy; son, Brad Sablatura of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Cassidy Raymond, Savannah Raymond, Steven Raymond, Kaleb Parsons, Kolton Parsons and Kaden Parsons; mother-in-law, Florence Thomason; sisters-in-law, Lillian Sablatura, Cass Green, Karen Robinson and Pat Alwell; brothers-in-law, Jim Green and Rob Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Restwood Funeral Home.
