      Mr. Paddy Schramek, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, in Tomball, Texas.

      He was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Ennis, the son of Joe and Gustava Lot Schramek. He was reared in Ennis where he attended school.

      In the 1940s he served in the Merchant Marines aboard the Fredrick Lykes.
       
      He was preceded in death by his wife, Veryl.
       
      He was very creative and artistic, a wonderful craftsman. He was a very kind-hearted, giving and charitable person. He loved nature, yard work and gardening.
       
      He is survived by two daughters, Jeanette and her husband, Del Davis of Houston, Rebecca and her husband, Joe Ross of Baltimore, Maryland; a sister-in-law, Vlasta Sramek; seven grandchildren, Denise Griffin, Debbie Davis, Rebecca Daw, Candace Hobbs, Christopher Poleto, Mary Margaret Ross and Beth Ross; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah Griffin, Taylor Hill, John Daw Jr., Ashley Koepp and Brooks Koepp.
       
      He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Briggs.
      Graveside services were held Friday in Myrtle Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Jones officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
       
      Serving as pallbearers were Del Davis, Richard Sramek, Fred Sramek, John Daw Jr., Russell Jenkins and Joe Ross.
