The sons and daughters of Mrs. Annie Stavinoha, together with their families, gathered at the home of her daughter, Mr. Jerome Bohac of the Ammannsville community, Sunday, June 10, for a great family reunion.

A splendid dinner was served at 11 o'clock, with barbecued sausage, friend chicken, cakes, many kinds of salads, coffee, light beer, etc.  The "eats" were contributed and brought to the feast by the various families.

After dinner the participants went out under the shade of the trees to spend the warm afternoon.  At 4 o'clock the men folks decided to have a ball game, so from the oldest to the youngest they engaged in indoor [outdoor?] baseball. It was fun for the players and for the ones watching the game.  They played seven innings, the score standing fifteen to sixteen.
After the game was concluded, a lunch of cake, leomonade, etc. was served.  Afterwards all departed for their respective homes, hoping to have other family reunions in the near future.  The joy would have been greater had Mr. Stavinoha been here with us.  He died some four years ago.

The following members of the family were present to participate in the reunion: Mrs. Emil Stavinoha, Sr., and family of Rosenberg; Mr. Voytech Stavinoha and family of Fairchild; Mr. Fred Stavinoha and family of Rosenberg; Mrs. Lillie Horak and family of Needville; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stavinoha and son of Ganado; Mr. Em il Hluchanek and family of Weimar; Mr. Adolf Stavinoha and family of Temple; Mr. Jerome Bohac and family of Ammannsville; Mr. and Mrs. Adolf Kristek of Weimar; Mr. and Mrs. George Stavinoha of Bastrop; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stavinoha and son of Ammannsville.  The married grandchildren of Mrs. Stavinoha were: Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Stavinoha and daughter of Needville; Mr. Joe Gurecky and family of Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Wenzel of Needville; Mr. and Mrs. Sterling De Shozo of Rosenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Stavinoha, Jr., of Rosenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Lad Stavinoha of Needville; Mr. C. Wenzel of Needville.
