      Mrs. Fannie Stefka, daughter of Frank Mikeska and his wife, Mary Schftik, was born in Moravia, Bohemia, August 11, 1887 and was baptized into the Christian faith according to the rite of the Lutheran Church in early infancy.
       
      On January 18, 1896 she was united in holy wedlock with John Stefka, who preceded her in death February 5, 1926, since when she has made her home with her son Willie, until she was taken to the Waller County Hospital last November.
       
      She died April 4th and was buried in Hempstead April 5th.  Burial was from the McWilliam Funeral Home in Hempstead.  The Rev. A.J. Nieman was in charge of the funeral service.
       
      Mrs. Stefka is survived by two sons, Willie and Delphine of Monaville; three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Hartmann of Monaville, Mrs. Matilda Sla_dek of Guy, and Mrs. Magnolia Gregory of Waller; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
       
      She reached the age of 84 years 7 months and 20 days.

      Note:  Although the paper reported that she was born in 1887, it should have been 1878.
