      Dennis Otto Ohnheiser, 66, of Seguin died Thursday, Feb. 26 after a lengthy illness.

      He was born on Nov. 5, 1942 in Fayette County, the second child and eldest son of Otto and Henriette Marie (Jochen) Ohnheiser. He attended Schulenburg public schools and earned his bachelor of arts degree at Texas Lutheran University. Following his graduation, he remained in Seguin where he owned and operated Fidelity Loans Inc. until the time of his death.

      Mr. Ohnheiser was preceded in death by his parents; by his elder son, Anthony Ohnheiser; his father-in-law, Harry H. Frazier; and two brothers-in-law, Charles Bielke of Marion and Harry H. Frazier Jr. of Killeen.

      He is survived by his son, Dennis Wade Ohnheiser and wife Lavonne of Seguin; and two grandchildren, USAF SrA Isaac K. Ohnheiser and wife Jenny of Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C., and Megan C. Ohnheiser of Seguin. He is also survived by his sister, Mariann Bielke of Marion; his brother, Kent D. Ohnheiser and wife Shirley of Schulenburg; his brother, Stanley A. Ohnheiser and wife Virginia of Weimar; and several nieces and nephews.

      Visitation was held Tuesday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.

      The Rev. Lemae Higgs of United Evangelical Lutheran Church at Swiss Alp, where Mr. Ohnheiser was a lifetime member, was slated to officiate at the funeral service on Wednesday, March 4 at 9 a.m. at Goetz Memorial Chapel followed by a brief service at United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp at noon. A reception at the church hall was slated to follow the interment in the church cemetery. Named as pallbearers were nephews Garth Bielke of New Braunfels and David Ohnheiser of Montgomery and nephews-in-law Don Dilworth of San Antonio and Russ Juno of La Grange.

      Arrangements were under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home of Seguin.
