Deceased Name: KEVIN JOSEPH VITEKKevin Joseph Vitek, 31, of Austin, died in an automobile accident on Friday, August 29, 1997.Kevin graduated from John H. Reagan High School in 1984 and from Southwest School of Electronics, after which he worked for Muzak South and was later employed by I.B.M. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the KJT Lodge Society #28. In 1993 he obtained his pilot's license for single engine aircraft. His other interests included hunting, fishing, jet skiing and scuba diving. Kevin was currently active in touching lives as a speaker at the North Austin 24 Hour Group. Kevin kept everyone smiling.Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 1, 1997, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 2, 1997, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.Survivors include his parents, Gilbert and Vlasta Vitek, of Austin; sister, Vicki Vitek Duncan, and brother-in-law, Vance Duncan; nephew, Harrison Duncan; and niece, Meredith Duncan, all of Fulshear, Texas.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, North Austin 24 Hour Group, 1008 Prairie Trail, Austin, Texas 78758.
