      FREDERICKSBURG -- Mrs. Mary Vlasek Green, 82, of Fredericksburg and a prior resident of Ingram, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2002, in a Fredericksburg nursing center.  Mary was cared for lovingly by the nurses at Fredericksburg Nursing home who were a true blessing.
       
      Mrs. Green was born on Sept. 14, 1919, in San Antonio, to the late John J. Vlasek and Agnes Mikes Vlasek.  Mary was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church and for several years worked in the rectory at Notre Dame.
       
      Survivors include her son Larry Green; three sisters, Lillian Lewis of Hunt, Anna Chapman and Margaret Vlasek, both of Katy; three brothers, Frank Vlasek, George Vlasek and Louis Vlasek, all of Hunts; two grandchildren, Misty Green of Kerrville and Jimmie Hamilton of Hunt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
       
      She was preceded in death by her husband John William Green on Aug. 16, 1979.
       
      Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, may 22, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Boulette as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
       
      Pallbearers are Willie Vlasek, Dennis Vlasek, Michael Vlasek, Andrew Fox, Grant Demers and Casey Garrison.
       
      Memorial Remembrances may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 8918 Tesoro Dr. San Antonio, Texas 78217 or to Notre Dame Catholic School Association, 907 Main, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
       
      Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
