      HUNT -- Mr. Christopher "Chris" Joseph Vlasek, 18, of Hunt, Texas, passed away Monday, June 7, 1999. 
       
      Chris, a lifelong resident of Hunt, was born on Jan. 27, 1981 in Kerrville, to William Ed and Barbara Vlasek.  Chris was a maintenance roofer for Kerrville Roofing Company and was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. 
       
      Chris was an avid hunter, enjoyed horseback riding, and the great outdoors.
       
      Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. "Bill" Vlasek of Hunt; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Eunice Carlson of Minneapolis, Minn.; paternal grandfather, John F. Vlasek Jr. of Kerrville; fiancee, April Lynn of Kerrville; five brothers, Gregory C. Vlasek and wife Carrie of New Braunfels, Samson L. Vlasek, Dennis L. Vlasek and wife Cynthia, Willy E. Vlasek and wife, Elizabeth, all of Hunt, and Sasha B. Vlasek of Kerrville; three sisters, Ms. Pamela A. Toner, Mrs. Shaleah L. Hill, and husband Doug, all of Hunt, and Ms. Jill Wilson of Edmond, Okla.; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other loving relatives.
       
      Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
       
      Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4 p.m. Friday, June 11, 1999, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael J. Boulette, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Hunt Japonica Cemetery. 
       
      Pallbearers are Elroy Behring, Cody Burkhardt, Terry Hise, Jerry Jeffers, Jacob Reed and Lance Ward.  Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Frazier and all of his dear friends.
       
      Memorials may be made to Notre Dame Catholic Church, 909 Main, Kerrville, Texas 78028 or to the Hunt Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 362, Hunt, Texas 78024.
       
      Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
