Alice Strzinek PearsonALICE STRZINEK PEARSON, 89, passed away at her home in Houston, TX on Wed., April 29, 2009.She was born on January 13, 1920 in Cameron, TX to Czechoslovakian immigrants, William and Emilia Strzinek. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William "Bill" Pearson; sons, James Killen and David Killen; grandchildren, Jennifer Crain and her husband Brian, Steve Killen, Scott Killen, and Maggi Townsend; 2 great grandchildren: Nadia Crain and Cyrus Crain; and many other loving family members and friends.Alice worked as a Secretary for Alcoa Aluminum in Rockdale, TX for 16 years, and in the aerospace industry at NASA for 17 years, before retiring from Ford Aerospace in 1985. She was a very active member and supporter of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church; and an accomplished and recognized gardener, and member and former Officer of Clear Lake Garden Club. She was also a passionate member and supporter of the Czech Center Museum Houston; a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; a cook extraordinaire; one of the most organized people on the planet; and a loyal and devoted friend to many. Her life has been genuine and uniquely her own, she is loved very much, and she will be truly missed.A visitation will be held on Sun., May 3, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Crowder Funeral Home~Webster. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77062. Interment will be at Veterans Houston National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made in Alice's honor to St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, or to the Czech Center Museum Houston, 4920 San Jacinto St. at Wichita, Houston, TX 77004.
