      John Rosipal 63 of Taylor passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.
       
      Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 6-8 PM, with Rosary recited at 7 PM at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Mass will be 10 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor with Rev. Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger, Texas.
      John was born on July 12, 1945 in Skidmore, Texas to the late Agnes Mokry and Joe Rosipal. At an early age the family moved to Granger where John attended St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic School and graduated from Granger High School in 1963.
      Before joining the Air Force in October , 1963, he worked at Kubacak’s Grocery in Granger and Wilson Art in Temple. During his military career he attended the Air Force Academy and received an Associate Degree from Community College of the Air Force. He served in Vietnam 1968-69. John retired from the Air Force in November 1985 and moved to Austin. He went to work for Texas Copy/Ikon retiring in 2005 and moving to Taylor.
      John married Mazie Baxley on February 15, 1969 at Dyess AFB, Abilene, Texas. John enjoyed traveling especially visiting their children and grandchildren, being with family and friends, fishing, yard work, more fishing, watching the UT Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys and not to forget more fishing.
      He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1235, KJT Society 27, Travis -Williamson Counties Czech Heritage Society, St. Mary’s Traditional Choir and did volunteer work with St. Vincent de Paul Society.
      John is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard and Cyril Rosipal.
      Surviving John is his wife of 40 years, Mazie. Daughters, Susan Daniel and husband, Robert; Kathy Hannah and husband Brian, all of Vacaville, CA.; Barbara Brown of Bastrop, TX; son, Gilbert L. Rosipal and wife Julie of Wichita, KS.; grandchildren, Ryan Albright and wife, Jen; Cory Albright and fiancee Tina McClain; Derek Albright; Dallas Daniel; Nicholas Hannah; Kortney Hannah; Danielle Hannah; Blake Hannah; all of Vacaville, CA.; Nathan Brown of Bastrop; Rachel Perez of Austin; Alicia Rosipal; Brandon Rosipal; and Taylor Rosipal of Wichita, KS. Great Grandchildren are Nevaeh Albright; Braylon Albright; Brandon Albright all of Vacaville, CA.; Serena Perez Scheff of Austin; also surviving are six sisters and four brothers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
      In lieu of flowers contributions may be may to the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Association, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite #250, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301 and St. Vincent de Paul Society, 408 Washburn St., Taylor, TX. 76574.
