      July 22, 1914 – March 29, 2009

      Mary Annie Novosad, 94, of Bryan passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

      Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Hillier Funeral Home.

      Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park.

      Mary was born on July 22, 1914, in Cooks Point, Texas, to Rudolph and Annie O. Matejka.

      She was a loving mother and a wonderful Granny and Nonnie.

      She will be remembered for her work on the farm and most of all, she'll be remembered for her love of baking kolaches and sharing them with her family, friends and church family.

      She was a member of Zion Church of Kurten, SPJST for more than 50 years and SPJST Lodge No. 189.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Novosad Jr.; two sons, Joe Daniel Novosad and Sammie Novosad; four brothers and three sisters.

      Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Mary Ann Novosad of Bellville; daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Bill Pine of Bryan; eight grandchildren, Steven Novosad, Jeff Novosad and wife, Lori, Michael Novosad, Gina Andrews, Rita Frailicks and husband, Tim, Renee Medina and husband, Robbie, Monica Westmoreland and Jennifer Nicoll and husband, Scott; nine great-grandchildren, Gina Maria Cruz and husband, Joe, Samantha Smith, Skoti Frailicks; Bret Frailicks, Bobbie Medina, Alex Medina, Brandie Medina, Patrick Westmoreland and Randy Westmoreland; two great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Cruz and Tristian Bruton; and a sister, Dorothy Vytopil.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Church Bell Choir, P.O. Box 41, Kurten, TX 77862.
